Veterinarians & Veterinary Staff
Dr. Elizabeth Boggier
Dr. Boggier’s inspiration for making her veterinary dream come true was Larry Lion, a beloved stuffed animal she had at the age of two. When Larry’s string was pulled, he roared. One day, to her dismay, the string stayed out. Larry Lion was broken. Elizabeth’s thoughtful babysitter at the time, offered to take Larry home for an “operation.” Elizabeth remembers feeling frightened for her best friend but her babysitter said not to worry. She’d take good care of him. The next day, Larry Lion came back home. He wasn’t able to talk anymore—they had to remove his “voice box” but otherwise he was restitched and as good as new. “I could have cared less that he didn’t speak anymore. I had my best friend back.” It was at that moment, Elizabeth knew she’d one day become a veterinarian and take care of other people’s much-loved best friends. “It’s been 35 years and I can still remember that feeling of pure joy.”
“My biggest inspiration is my Mom. She was a single mother who raised my brothers and me while working days AND nights. She instilled in me the desire to stay strong even through adversity and to do my best to stay focused even when there seemed to be no end in sight. She is an amazing person and if I can be half the mother she is, I figure I’ll be way ahead.”
“My husband William and I have been married for (…checking wedding band…) 8 years this November and tease each other that it seems SOOOO much longer. That would be because we had our Abigail nine months later, Zoe 15 months after that, had two major job changes and started this business. Whew! William has the patience of Job and the wit of Jon Stewart. We laugh every day. Ok, not EVERY day, but pretty close. He joked the other day to our technician, Heather, be sure to marry someone who’s funny, because in the end, that’s what gets you through the most. He’s a tough-as-nails police lieutenant who is quite firmly wrapped around our daughter’s cute little fingers. William will be managing the office in his spare time between brushing his teeth and taking a shower. I’m lucky to have him and figure, he’ll stick around as long as I keep feeding him.
Abigail and Zoe. Our two little bookends are quite simply the greatest thing we’ve ever done in our lives. Abby is excited about helping in the office (which is good as there are no child labor laws if it’s your OWN child). She has her own broom and will be cleaning cages as soon as she can reach them. Zoe, well, Zoe will do whatever Zoe wants. My baby girl is as unyielding as her curly hair. Perhaps we can train her to handle telemarketers…

Dr. Susan Loftin
Dr. Loftin has been a practicing veterinarian since 1986. She graduated from a veterinary school in the Philippines and went on to study clinical medicine at the University of Missouri Veterinary School until her graduation. Dr. Loftin feels living in the Philippines for four years satisfied her sense of adventure and taught her how to be self-reliant.
Having always had a passion for science and animals, private practice has made her dreams come true. Her philosophy in life is to love learning and since veterinary medicine is forever evolving, she is constantly doing so by attending frequent continuing education lectures and seminars. Dr. Loftin feels she learns the most from her beautiful patients. She has commented that her patients teach her how to be strong, to enjoy everyday, and to love unconditionally.
The other loves of Dr. Loftin’s life are Carl, her husband of 22 years, and Isaac, her 4-year-old yellow lab. She shares a passion for running, hiking with her boys, writing short stories, and singing. Although, she freely admits, most of her singing is done in the shower.
Brooklyn born, Dr. Loftin has lived in New Jersey since practicing veterinary medicine. She absolutely adores the Tri-state area and all it has to offer.
Dr. Maryellen Voigt
A Detroit native, Dr. Maryellen Voigt attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture in 1984. She went on to attend the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Upon graduation, she honed her skills in a small animal hospital in central NJ where she continues to practice. Dr. Voigt's professional interests include ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery. She holds advanced training in emergency preparedness as a member of both the Morris County Animal Response Team and Morris County Medical Reserve Corps. Also, as a USDA Federally Accredited Veterinarian, she can issue both domestic and international health certificates. What else can this wonder woman do? Why see pot bellied pigs of course? One of the few in the state who do! With a perpetual smile on her face and a perceptive sense of medicine, Dr. Voigt is a great addition to the Mountainview family.
Dr. Voigt is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Metropolitan New Jersey Medical Association. Her outside hobbies and interests include softball, hiking, golf and skiing. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, John, and their four children, Rachel, Hannah, Jacqueline and Daniel. One dog, a lab-mix named Isaac, and a cat, Cookie, complete the family nicely.
Lynnette Bradley
Lynette began her career working as an administrative assistant in the medical field for 14 years. She then decided to take the hardest job of all → stay at home Mom. Lynnette spent the next 12 years raising her 3 beautiful children. It was her love of animals that drew her back into the work force and to us at Mountainview Veterinary Hospital. Lynnette and her husband also share their home with their two cats—Bitty and Maddie.
Heather Cole
Heather started her veterinary career in high school as a receptionist at a veterinary clinic. She branched out into kennel work, then technical work. She then completed the veterinary technician program at County College of Morris.
Heather passed the State Veterinary Tech exam and started working in the ER at Animal Emergency and Referral Associate and for Dr. Hunt, a board certified surgeon. While she enjoyed surgery very much, she realized she missed seeing healthy patients. She is now a valuable and much loved employee at Mountainview Veterinary Hospital!
Heather currently is mom to three dogs and two cats. All three dogs were rescues. The newest addition to the family is Bubbles, a Shar-Pei/Pug mix who had been hit by a car. Bubbles survived the accident but had severe injuries including nerve damage to her front leg and a fractured jaw. Bubbles was set to be euthanized because the owners could not afford the cost of surgery for her overwhelming injuries. Heather agreed to adopt Bubbles and Dr. Hunt agreed to repair her injuries, which included amputating her front leg and repairing her jaw. After months of spoon feeding her and caring for her shattered body, Bubbles rewarded Heather with daily love and kisses. She is now a happy healthy member of the family.
William Boggier – Office Manager
Born and raised in Essex County, NJ. Majored in business management at Fairleigh Dickenson University. My life began when I met Elizabeth—you know her as Dr. Boggier. Up to now I’ve been on the sidelines cheering her on; the good doctor has called my bluff and put me in the game as Office Manager.
Now it’s my job to help her and promote her—since I believe in her. It’s an easy job with so-so pay.
