Obviously the oral and dental health of all animals, whether large or small, is important. Without proper oral and dental health, an animal has a hard time ingesting the proper nourishment, which can lead to other kinds of health problems. Excessive dental tartar can lead to heart and kidney disease as well.
During your pet’s physical exam, we will also perform a dental exam. We like to say that our exams cover everything from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail. The dental health of your cat or dog will be assessed. Should you note problems in the interim, bring your cat or dog in to see us and we’ll take care of the problem.
Like all of our veterinary services, dental and oral checkups and treatment are tailored exclusively to the unique needs of your animal based on his or her size, age, breed and health condition.
